History of Silk  
For over 4000 years, silk has held the position as the Queen of Textiles. It is the ultimate luxurious cloth for the discriminating individual. 8000 silk worms consuming approximately 350 lbs of mulberry leaves supply enough silk for 20 corsets. We use 100% silk satin with a high gloss face and soft, sensuous hand. It offers a stunning finished effect to all corsets with incomparable beauty. To quote Oscar de la Renta, “Silk does for the body what diamonds do for the hand.”

SILK BROCADE

COTTON BACK SATIN
High luster satin face of blended acetate or polyester with a soft cotton backing for breathability.

COTTON COUTIL
A very firmly woven with a herringbone pattern. It is the most durable of corset fabrics as the tight weave resists stretching.

COTTON BROCHE
A specialty corset fabric of cotton/ rayon blend, usually made in a brocade pattern. Very firmly woven for durability and resists stretching. Hand washable and breathable.

COTTON SATEEN
A less expensive option to silk satin. Cotton sateen is produced from 100% combed cotton and woven with a satin weave to provide a smooth face. It does not have the same high gloss effect that silk satin has, but offers a nice sheen. Heavyweight construction offers durability and grace.

COTTON JEAN
Constructed of 100% cotton twill weave. A heavyweight, durable fabric offers wonderful support and durability. A wide variety of shades are available in the cotton jean. If we do not have the color you desire, please inquire and we will see if it is available.

NEARLY NAKED LEATHER
We purchase only the finest, softest and highest quality lambskin for the ultimate leather corset. Our lambskin hides have minimal finish applied to them to provide the most butter-soft hand and suppleness available, hence the name, nearly naked. A wide variety of colors are available, please enquire.

Using your own fabric
If you have some of your own fabric you wish to have made into a corset, please send us a swatch for approval.

Corset Trimming

FLOSSING
Flossing provides more than fancy embellishment to your corset. It secures the bones in place and stops them from wearing through the ends of your corset. We offer embroidery floss in cotton, silk or rayon. A wide variety of colors and designs are available, please inquire.

LACE TRIM
Lace trimming provides a lovely finish to the corset. We also have a wide selection of antique lace trimming available.

RIBBON
Ribbon is an excellent way to add some color and flourish to your corset. We can use it for contrasting edges, delicate bows, lace insertion and ribbon corset laces to complete your look. Below is a complete selection of our ribbon shades available.

POLYESTER SATIN RIBBON
Available in a wide range of rich, brilliant shades.

SILK SATIN RIBBON
100% silk ribbon to create a more antique look to your corset with a softer, more delicate body to the ribbon. The silk shades are slightly muted.
